League Formats

Traditional Leagues
Enjoy basketball, volleyball, soccer, and softball leagues at recreational or competitive skill levels. Register as part of a team or as a free agent. Players may only play on one team per sport per season. However, players can participate in team-based and draft basketball leagues during the same season.

Draft Leagues
These new leagues are for basketball, volleyball,  soccer, and softball. All players register as free agents, and Willamalane arranges the teams. Players can participate in team-based and draft basketball leagues during the same season.

Registration Tips

  1. Create or log in to your Willamalane ActiveNet account.
  2. Find your desired league using the links above for the sport and season you are interested in.
  3. Schedules and rules will be posted on your Team Sideline account at least one week before the start of the season.

Team Captains:
Set up your team by clicking "Create a New Team" in ActiveNet and follow the instructions. Once your team is set up, your players will be able to register for the team. You can invite players to your team and see who has registered by checking your "My Account" page in ActiveNet. Team Captains must join and pay as a player when they register their team.  If a team is created without a captain registered it will be deleted.

Players Invited to a Team:
You can join your team only after the captain has set up the team in ActiveNet. Join your team by clicking "Team Registration" and "Join an Existing Team." Remember, you can only play on one team per sport per season unless otherwise specified in the program description.

Free Agents:
Players without a team can register for a league by clicking "Team Registration" and then selecting the team "Free Agent." Please note team structure is dependent on the number of free agents registered for a given league. Based on those numbers, teams will be made up of free agents or free agents will be added to existing teams who have identified themselves as willing to add free agents. If no teams are available for a free agent, a full refund will be issued before the first game of the season.

Players subbing for a Single Game:
Single-game subs can register for individual games online or in person by registering for the “Adult Sports League Single Game Substitute” activity in ActiveNet. You will need to know your team captain’s name, team name, and the date of the game. You must register and pay the associated fee for each game you sub. Single-game substitutes can participate on only one team, in only one league at a time per sport offered. Substitutes cannot change to a different team/league once they have played for a team that season. To sub for the playoffs, a player must have also played in at least one regular season game for the same team.

Sponsored Teams
If your team has a sponsor paying for registration, please call the athletics team at (458)201-0737 to get your team registered in a league.

Code of Conduct

  • I understand that my participation in Willamalane Rec Sports and my presence on Willamalane property, is governed by Ordinance 100. I agree to adhere to all aspects of Ord. 100 throughout my participation, and understand that, should my decisions break Ord. 100, I will be subject to disciplinary action from the District, up to and including being excluded from all Willamalane programs and facilities.
  • I will demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times to all players, officials, program staff, and spectators.
  • I understand that I am allowed to participate on only one team at a time per sport offered, and as such, may only identify myself under one consistent name during registration.
  • I will uphold all District rules, regulations, and ordinances and understand that I am liable for any violations of these agreements.
  • I will remember that these are recreational sports leagues and that I am here to have fun and compete in a positive, public environment.
  • I will treat all players, officials, program staff, and spectators with respect regardless of race, gender, sexuality, creed, or ability.
  • I will remember that my participation in Willamalane Rec Sports is an opportunity and privilege, not a right, and will conduct myself appropriately at all times.
  • I have reviewed and understand all league rules and regulations related to the program for which I am registered.
  • I understand that there may be consequences for my actions while participating in Willamalane Rec Sports, and have read and understand the following:
    • Any player receiving a disciplinary foul (technical foul, yellow card, or similar) for inappropriate conduct will be disqualified from play for the remainder of the half for timed sports or for the remainder of the current game for match-play sports. Example: a soccer player receives a yellow card with 5:00 remaining in the first half for inappropriate conduct; they will be required to sit out the remainder of that half of play and may return in the second half.
    • Any player receiving two cumulative disciplinary warnings in the same contest will be disqualified from play for the remainder of that contest, as well as the next scheduled contest in the same season.
    • After any player’s third disciplinary warning, regardless of the timeline, the player will be excluded from league play for the remainder of the current season as well as a minimum of two full Willamalane Rec Sports seasons. Exclusion must be fulfilled before that player will be allowed to participate in any Willamalane Rec Sports again. In cases of exclusions, an in-person meeting with league administrators will be required.
    • The general management of all players, spectators, and teams involved in each of Willamalane’s Rec Sports leagues shall be the responsibility of league administrators. Final authority on any matter pertaining to the program will be determined by the Adult Athletics staff.
