Comprehensive Plan
In September, 2023, Willamalane's Board of Directors adopted a new comprehensive plan that will strategically outline the future of Springfield parks, facilities, and recreation programs for the next 20 years. The plan will serve as a roadmap to guide Willamalane's decision-making process, prioritizing projects and providing a framework for fiscal planning. The plan considered the valuable input from more than 3,800 community members, ensuring that the facilities and programs will align with the needs and aspirations of the residents. Ultimately, the comprehensive plan aims to positively impact the community by creating engaging and inclusive spaces that promote health, well-being, and high quality of life for all district residents.
ADA Transition Plan
Willamalane has created an Americans with Disabilities Act transition plan to guide accessibility projects over the next 15 years. This plan aims to make hundreds of improvements in ADA access to Willamalane parks and facilities.
System Development Charges
System Development Charges (SDCs) are one-time fees collected when permitting new construction in a community. They help fund public infrastructure improvements that are necessary as a result of new development and growth. The City of Springfield collects park SDCs for Willamalane so the district can fund new park development, path and trail expansions, and park improvements that serve more people.
