Springfield, Ore. — This week, more than 40 high school soccer teams will play at the 2025 Les Schwab Soccer Showcase, a two-day jamboree-style tournament. The girls’ teams will take the field on Thursday, Aug. 28, followed by the boys’ teams on Friday, Aug.

For the last few years, Willamalane has focused on expanding and improving childcare options for families in Springfield.

Summer League Deadlines Approaching

• June 3: softball and 3v3 basketball
• June 15: soccer, volleyball, and 5v5 basketball

In 2024, 360 volunteers participated in 94 opportunities with the district, totaling over 10,778 volunteer service hours. That’s the equivalent of five full-time employees working 40-hour weeks for a year! 

Last year, kids scanned their 1Passes 69,442 times at local Springfield and Eugene destinations, including local swimming pools, a museum, a trampoline park, a mini golf course, and a science center.
