Willamalane Scholarships
Willamalane offers a range of scholarships to help connect residents to exceptional recreation programs in Springfield. If you need financial assistance, consider applying for a scholarship. Scholarships are non-transferable.
Eligibility
To qualify for Willamalane scholarships, you must be enrolled in one of the following eligible assistance programs and provide supporting documentation. You also must live within Willamalane’s district boundaries. If you don’t have such documentation, you can write a brief essay describing your hardships instead.
Qualifying programs:
- Food Assistance: Federal or Oregon state food assistance (SNAP), WIC, or free or reduced-price lunch
- Health: Oregon Medical Assistance Plan, Oregon Health Plan, or Medicaid
- Early Learning: Head Start or Relief Nursery
- Housing & Utilities: LIHEAP, utility assistance, housing assistance, or experiencing homelessness
- Income Support & Emergency Assistance: TANF, SSI, SSDI, unemployment insurance, domestic violence services, or state-funded recovery assistance
- Tribal Affiliation: Enrolled or affiliated Tribal member
- Other Hardship: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis

Willamalane Park and Recreation District General Scholarship
This scholarship applies to various recreation programs for all ages. A maximum of $200 in funds from this scholarship is available per person per fiscal year. This scholarship covers up to 50% of program fees and can be used for multiple programs. Not all Willamalane programs are eligible. All-Access Memberships are not eligible.
1Pass Scholarship
1Pass scholarship funds are only applicable to the purchase of a 1Pass. The scholarship will cover 50% of the cost of a 1Pass. Approved 1Pass scholarships do not guarantee you will be sold a 1Pass. All 1Pass sales are online and subject to availability.
Middle School Sports Scholarships
The Middle School Sports Scholarship makes middle school sports more accessible by reducing the cost of each sport. This scholarship is made possible by Springfield Public Schools District. The Middle School Sports Scholarship is different than the other Willamalane Scholarships. Applicants for this scholarship do not need to live in-district, nor do they need to provide eligibility documentation from the provided list. The only requirements are attending Springfield Public Schools and providing family size and annual household income.
