Lifeguard and Instructor Hiring Days

Join the pool squad at Willamalane! Come to monthly hiring events on selected dates listed below. You'll learn more, meet the team, and jump into the pool. You might even get a job offer on the spot if you're a good fit! Willamalane fully pays for all necessary certifications so you can be ready to save lives. The minimum age requirement is 15 years old. Bring a swimsuit and towel to the event.

Compensation and Benefits at Willamalane

  • Merit increase (3%) upon successful completion of probationary period and then annually. 
  • Annual cost of living increase (up to 4% as approved by the Board).

Earn Extra Money with Incentives

Not only will you make a difference, but new hires for lifeguards, program leaders, and activity leaders are eligible for a bonus of up to $200 upon hiring! Refer a friend to work at Willamalane, and you'll earn another $100 to $200. In addition, if you pass a Spanish language competency test, you will be eligible for an extra $1 per hour.

Employment Eligibility
