Fourth Grade Swim Lessons

In a city between two rivers, water safety is crucial. That’s why every fourth grader in Springfield is eligible to receive free swimming lessons at Willamalane pools. These lessons cover swimming and water safety basics, like breath control, floats, kicks, and strokes. Lessons are available at both Willamalane Park Swim Center and Splash! at Lively Park, so you can choose the pool that works best for your family.

There are two ways to sign up for free lessons:
  1. Sign up online. Follow the link below, choose a lesson, and enter the promo code 4GSwimLessons at checkout. The coupon code can only be used once per child.
  2. Get in touch with the customer service team. Call Willamalane at 541-736-4544 or come into any Willamalane facility. Let our team know that you’re registering for fourth-grade swim lessons and provide the promo code.

This program is only available for fourth graders who are currently enrolled in Springfield Public Schools.  The current openings are available to those who were enrolled in Springfield Public Schools for fourth grade any time from September 2020 to Spring 2022. Kids who will be fourth graders in the 2022/2023 school year will have the opportunity for free lessons in the fall. Capacity is limited and spots are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

The fourth-grade swim program is a long-standing program between the school district and Willamalane as part of the regular curriculum. During the pandemic, safety and logistical challenges prevented the program from running as usual. Now, we are offering the swim lessons to any fourth graders who missed out on them over the last few years.

This program is possible thanks to generous sponsorship from PeaceHealth and partnership with Springfield Public Schools.
