Children’s Celebration Event on Saturday, June 27, 2026
Springfield, Ore. – Willamalane Park and Recreation District will hold its annual Children’s Celebration event on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Island Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event offers fun for all family members, including interactive exhibits and activities. Admission is free with a non-perishable food donation.
“This event is a favorite community tradition going on for decades. This year, we have over 70 community exhibitors,” said Tracy Kribs, whose team led organizing this event for Willamalane. “We’ll even have a chance for people to meet a Capybara!”
Attendees can expect fun activities, live performances, and helpful resources from Willamalane and community partners. The event will offer a variety of booths and activities, including games, balloon animals, big trucks, a magic show, martial arts demonstrations, and much more! The event also features four scheduled stage events, which are as follows:
- 10:30 AM David’s Magic Show
- 11:15 AM TBA
- 12:15 PM Music with Miss Jen
- 1:15 PM West African Drumming

Children's Celebration is presented by Lithia Toyota of Springfield and sponsored by Rexius, The Springfield Drifters, The Chronicle, Lookout Eugene-Springfield, and Ziply Fiber.

Food donations will benefit the food pantry at Willamalane Adult Activity Center and Willamalane’s Little Free Pantries around Springfield. Pet food donations will also be accepted.
