Willamalane Announces Halloween Events in Springfield

Tickets go on sale for select events Oct. 1

Each October, thousands of people take part in Willamalane’s Halloween celebrations, making it one of the district’s busiest and most spirited times of year. The 2025 lineup includes returning traditions and new activities. Tickets for select events are available starting Oct. 1 at willamalane.org/halloween

“Halloween at Willamalane is one of the best times of year,” said Willamalane Executive Director Michael Wargo. “These events bring our staff and volunteers together to provide fun, safe activities for our community, and give us the perfect excuse to put on Halloween costumes and embrace our festive, theatrical sides.”

Halloween festivities begin on October 3 with Ghostly Golf, an outdoor, glow-in-the-dark mini-golf experience that runs most nights in October. Admission is $12 per person, and advance registration is not required.

Haunted Hayride returns this year from Oct. 16-18, at historic Dorris Ranch. The hayride transforms the trails into a one-of-a-kind, interactive theatrical experience. Advance tickets are required and sell out quickly.

“One of the clearest signs that Halloween is here is when hundreds of pumpkins line the paths at Dorris Ranch during the week of Haunted Hayride,” said Tracy Kribs, Special Events and Operations Manager. “Even if you don't attend the event, the pumpkin walk is still worth a visit during the daytime!”

At the Halloween Carnival on Sunday, Oct. 26, families with kids can enjoy carnival games, crafts, and candy. Tickets are required for children, and admission is free for adults.

New this year, Willamalane’s popular summer Dive-In Movies series is moving to Willamalane Park Swim Center for Halloween. Attendees can trick-or-treat, swim, and watch a movie on the big screen. On Thursday, Oct. 31, watch Hotel Transylvania, and on Friday, Nov. 1, watch Coco, shown in honor of Día de los Muertos. Regular admission rates apply, and advance registration is not required.

Tickets for Haunted Hayride and Halloween Carnival will be available starting Oct. 1. To see the full lineup of events and purchase tickets when they go on sale, visit willamalane.org/halloween.
