SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – What does it take to keep a community active, connected, and thriving? In 2024, Willamalane welcomed over 180,000 swimmers, opened a preschool for 80 full-time students, and logged 10,700 volunteer hours.

This week, Willamalane Park and Recreation District released its 2024 Annual Report as part of its seasonal recreation guide. The annual report is packed with more stories, numbers, financial numbers, and milestones that highlight a year of completing projects, tackling challenges, and generating community benefits.

"Willamalane evolves to better serve Springfield by adapting to community feedback while staying fiscally responsible. Through collaboration with amazing community partners and organizations, we maximize resources to do more with less," said Michael Wargo, Willamalane Executive Director. “This report highlights our shared efforts, and we invite everyone to explore how their input shapes the future of parks and recreation.”
