Willamalane Facilities Open for Community

Limited Reopening Begins Friday, Jan. 19. Parks and Pools Remain Closed.

Community Respite 
Bob Keefer Center and Willamalane Adult Activity Center open on Friday, Jan. 19. Community members are welcome to use the lobby, get warm, and charge devices at no cost. At Bob Keefer Center, community members can also shower (free) or use the fitness center or court activities for standard drop-in fees. 

Please note that both facilities are in boil water advisory areas and will not have potable water until the advisory is lifted.

Willamalane Adult Activity Center Weekend Hours

  • Friday, Jan. 19: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 20: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 21: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Willamalane Park Swim Center and Splash! will remain closed until further notice.

Parks 
Willamalane parks have suffered extraordinary damage. Weakened, loose branches are still at risk of falling. All district parks, natural areas, and paths are closed until Willamalane can fully assess the damage and ensure safety. 

Recreation Programs
Willamalane school-related childcare and activities, including preschool, Kids Club, Two50, and after-school sports, will resume when Springfield Public School opens. Group exercise classes will resume on Monday.

The fitness expo, originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20, is canceled to provide extended hours at Willamalane Adult Activity Center (listed above). Find hours and more updates at willamalane.org/alerts. 

Team Springfield Support
As of this morning and until further notice, Bob Keefer Center is serving as a staging center for SUB and traveling power crews. Crews showed up at 5 a.m. this morning and dispatched 65 staff and over 25 trucks. Willamalane is working to determine more ways to support the community at this time.
