After-School Sports
Willamalane's youth sports programs are a convenient and fun way for students at Springfield Public Schools to play sports, stay active, and make friends. Programs are held at your child's school, and they'll participate with classmates.
Program Highlights:
- Clinics and practices meet right after school, so there’s no extra pickup or transportation needed.
- Kids can try a variety of sports throughout the year – basketball and track & field for elementary and middle school, plus cross country, soccer, volleyball, and flag football for middle schoolers only.
- Coaches focus on fun, skill development, and each player’s growth.
- Programs are open to all skill levels, with no prior experience needed. Younger grades participate in low-pressure, skill-focused formats, while older grades engage in more structured and competitive league play.
- Scholarships are available.

During school breaks, there are additional opportunities for kids to stay active and keep their skills sharp.
