Train your Dog

Classes from four different skill levels start at the beginning of each month. When it’s time for class, you’ll check in at the main entrance of Bob Keefer Center. Monthly registration is required.

Puppy Training

Puppies must be between the ages of 8 and 20 weeks and have the distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo, and parainfluenza shots to join this class. Other beginning-level small dogs may be allowed in this class with instructor approval. Register monthly.

Beginning Dog Training/Basic Manners

In this class, your dog will learn the fundamentals of good canine citizenship: to watch, sit, come, stay, wait, greet, and follow other commands. Register monthly.

Intermediate Dog Training/Canine Good Citizen

This class reinforces the basics of good manners and obedience, teaches new skills, instills the values of responsible ownership, and strengthens the bond between you and your dog. Register monthly. American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen testing is available. Prerequisite: Beginning Dog Training.

Advanced Dog Training/Advanced Canine Good Citizen

This class will help your dog achieve the highest levels of good behavior. AKC Canine Good Citizen certification test and trick training will also be available. Register monthly. Prerequisite: Intermediate Canine Good Citizen.
