Do you have something I can print and put on my fridge?
Yes, check out this easy-to-use Summer Camp Planning Tool.

What safety modifications have you made?
Safety is and always will be our primary concern. We are committed to providing the safest possible care for children, families, and Willamalane staff. Willamalane follows state health guidelines and recommendations around physical distancing and sanitation, all within the state health guidelines and recommendations. Students are required to wear a face covering while inside or outdoors when physical distancing isn’t possible. We will also implement an even more restrictive sanitation process and illness monitoring protocols. We ask that siblings register for care at the same location so we can better maintain stable groups of staff and children. Learn more about safety here.

Will Willamalane track any illness symptoms or outbreaks?
Yes. We will be checking for symptoms of new coughs or fevers for anyone entering the area where there are students. If we suspect an illness or infection, we will isolate the student and contact a parent or guardian, so they can go home.

If students or staff, or anyone in their household, has recently had an illness with a fever or a new cough, they should remain at home until:
  • At least ten days after illness onset,
  • 72 hours after the fever is gone without using fever-reducing medicine,
  • Symptoms are improving.

Students or staff who have had direct exposure to COVID-19 will not be able to return until 14 days after the exposure, assuming they do not exhibit symptoms. We will also be keeping daily logs for each stable group to help identify anyone at-risk, should there be any illness associated with a student or staff member.

Do kids have to wear a mask? Will employees?
Face coverings and physical distancing requirements will no longer be required indoors at Willamalane for those who are fully vaccinated. Face coverings will still be required for youth programs including preschool programs, afterschool programs, camps, and classes. Willamalane will still require participants and staff members supporting these programs to wear face coverings, regardless of vaccination status.

If a patron or staff member is unvaccinated, unable, or would prefer not to verify vaccination status, they must wear a mask and maintain required physical distancing while indoors.

What sanitation procedures are you taking?
We are closely following and staying up-to-date on statewide and industry guidelines to keep our campers, families, and staff safe. To keep us all healthy, we have developed guidelines for daily health checks, physical distancing, handwashing, sanitizing items, classroom cleaning, adjusted activities, meals and snacks, and drop-off and pick up.
