Springfilm: “Clue”

Springfilm is a chance for our community to gather once a month at the Wildish Theater, enjoy a movie, and talk about it afterward. Free! 

In May join us for “Clue,” rated PG, 1985. Six blackmail victims are invited to an isolated mansion by a man who knows a dark secret from each of their pasts. On arrival, each is given a pseudonym drawn from Cluedo before being introduced to the blackmailer. Each is handed a weapon, at which point the lights are switched off and the blackmailer is killed. Can the guests uncover the murderer before they all become victims?

RunJumpThrow 

Ages 6-13. This USA Track & Field program is a hands-on learning experience that introduces kids to the basics of running, jumping, and throwing skills. Kids will participate in a variety of activity stations including agility, relays, jumping, throwing, hurdle drills, and much more. Participants will receive tickets to the Prefontaine Classic!

Hiking Wild Iris Ridge Park

This is a newer segment of Eugene’s Ridgeline Trail system. Enjoy seeing wild irises, Spencer Butte, and the West Eugene Wetlands. The trail is rated moderate, with some steep sections. 3.2-mile round trip. 616 ft elevation gain.

Springfilm: “The Way”

Springfilm is a chance for our community to gather once a month at the Wildish Theater, enjoy a movie, and talk about it afterward. Free!

In June join us for “The Way,” rated PG-13, 2010. An American father travels to France to retrieve the body of his estranged son, who died while attempting the pilgrimage to Spain's Santiago de Compostela. He resolves to take the journey himself, in an effort to understand both himself and his son.

Kids Night Out: Summer Fun

Enjoy a night out while your kids have a blast at Two50 Youth Center. A light meal is provided.



Willamette Confluence Preserve Tour

Join McKenzie River Trust and Friends of Buford Park on a four-hour tour of the Willamette Confluence Preserve and Turtle Flats. The 1,400-acre preserve features six miles of river corridor, floodplain forest, wetlands, upland oak woodlands, native prairie, and endangered habitats. The tour will highlight conservation efforts, human history, and natural features. 



Children’s Celebration and PetFest 

Children’s Celebration and PetFest has fun for all family members whether they have two legs, four legs, fins, or scales. These two classic events are now running together, for the first time. Willamalane, community partners, and exhibitors will share resources and fun interactive activities including live performances, an interactive train, and more!

BIPOC Youth Art Celebration and Open House

Community Alliance of Lane County (CALC) is hosting a youth art contest to open up space for Black, Indigenous, People of Color youth expression and dialogue around REVOLUCIÓN / REVOLUTION. This art celebration and open house event will showcase the art that has been created during this contest.

Springfilm: “Pan’s Labyrinth”

Springfilm is a chance for our community to gather once a month at the Wildish Theater, enjoy a movie, and talk about it afterward. Free!

In July join us for “Pan’s Labyrinth,” rated R, 2006. It's 1944 and the Allies have invaded Nazi-held Europe. In Spain, a troop of soldiers are sent to a remote forest to flush out the rebels. They are led by Capitan Vidal, a murdering sadist, and with him are his new wife Carmen and her daughter from a previous marriage, 11-year-old Ofelia. Ofelia witnesses her stepfather's sadistic brutality and is drawn into Pan's Labyrinth, a magical world of mythical beings.

Flashlight Hike

Springfilm: “Jurassic Park”

Springfilm is a chance for our community to gather once a month at the Wildish Theater, enjoy a movie, and talk about it afterward. Free!

In August, join us for “Jurassic Park,” rated PG-13, 1993. In Steven Spielberg's massive blockbuster, paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park's mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.

Girls Night Out Under the Stars

Grades 6-8. This overnight camping trip is a great way to introduce middle school girls to the outdoors in a non-intimidating environment. We will start our day with introductions at Ruff Park parking lot, then head into the park to set up camp. We’ll spend our evening learning basic camping skills, creating art, stargazing, and sharing stories and s'mores around the campfire. All gear and food provided. Participants will need to supply clothes, pillow, and basic hygiene items.

A Night of a Million Stars

Join our friends from the Eugene Astronomical Society for a night of stargazing under the darkness of the new moon. Through high magnification telescopes you will be able to view the planets, constellations, and maybe even the international space station!
