System Development Charges
System Development Charges are fees collected when new construction occurs. SDC fees help pay for things like roads, paths, trails, city planning initiatives, water and sewer systems, and parks. Willamalane collects these charges to fund new park development, path and trail upgrades and expansion, and park improvements that serve more people.
In 2023, Willamalane updated its 20-Year Comprehensive Plan, which outlines a series of projects that best serve the community. SDCs are one of the funding tools that can help deliver these projects.
Examples of Willamalane projects SDCs supported
