Summer 2021 is almost here! Springfield and Eugene kids are about to embark on a fun and exciting summer. If you need a little help planning your family's summer activities, here are some upcoming summer events that are fun, inexpensive, and already organized. As any parent knows, half the fun is having someone else do the planning!

We’re lucky to have two great pools in Springfield: Splash! At Lively Park and Willamalane Park Swim Center. If you’re looking for swimming lessons, slides, waves, or a waterpark, these pools will be sure to delight your little water bugs. Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park offers Lane County's best outdoor miniature golf experience. Enjoy Father’s Day (Sunday, June 20) at Camp Putt: each dad golfs for free when they bring a kid to play. Join friends from the Eugene Astronomical Society for a night of stargazing under the darkness of the new moon. Through their high-magnification telescopes, your family will be able to view the planets, constellations, and maybe even the international space station! Register here.

The memories of summer camp last a lifetime. This summer, check out Camp Venture for middle school kids. Your kids will swim, hike, and bike, with lots of time for art, community service, and even video games. Do you have sports-crazy kids in your family? This summer, kids grades 5-8 can learn from former Ducks wide receiver Lavasier Tuinei in MVP Performance Program sessions. Participants will up their game with speed, agility, and weight training at the Bob Keefer Center, including the weight room.
