Fitness Programs

We strive to help our patrons meet their individual fitness and health goals by basing our programs around individual needs. The ultimate goal for Willamalane's fitness program is the health of our students. Our culture is not about competition, beach bodies or trendy supplements. We are here to help the individual meet their goals and create a happier and healthier lifestyle. We focus on cultivating a community around fitness, encouragement and health.

Fitness is not one-size-fits-all. There are many ways we motivate ourselves and like to get fit. Willamalane has a variety of ways you can meet your goals. Pick one and get moving!

Slim Down Springfield

Ages 18+. Slim Down Springfield is a competition that incentivizes you to meet your goals! Try it on your own or with a friend.

Competition includes:
  • Membership in the fitness center at Bob Keefer Center
  • One free trial of each group exercise class
  • Weekly incentives
  • Weekly emails with motivational support and coaching
  • Cash prizes at the end of the competition
Participants attend weekly Tuesday weigh-ins to document progress. Prizes are awarded to the top weight-loss percentages at the end of the competition.

Pub Run at PublicHouse

All ages and levels. This free, weekly 5K run starts and ends at PublicHouse, Springfield’s newly updated food hub and beer hall. This family and pet friendly meeting place is a great starting point for a new running/ walking  route each month. Come and join the main walk/ run at 6pm every Thursday till October. Enjoy discounts from select vendors at this community gathering spot after your workout. Register at the run. Join our Facebook group for updates!

Best Fit Coaching

Ages 18+. A great option for those just returning from physical therapy! Get guidance on creating your own fitness plan with individual or group fitness coaching. Meet with one of our trainers to talk about your goals, make a plan or find out how you can modify exercises post-injury. Register for your 60-minute coaching session and one of our coaches will schedule your session. 

Private 60-minute session: $59 per person
Group training session (2 people): $25 per person
Group training session (3+ people): $20 per person

Best Fit Fitness Assessment

Ages 18+. Discover your fitness level with this, test-based fitness assessment. Our coaches will take you through a series of tests designed to assess your strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. Your results will show your ranking compared to others in your age group. Register in advance and our coaches will call you to schedule your 30-minute assessment.

Walking Groups

Ages 50+. Moderate to brisk one-hour walks through the park, rain or shine. Free to join, newcomers welcome. Walks leave from the Adult Activity Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30am.
