Island Park Art Gallery is a two-dimensional exhibition space with new artists rotating every two months. The gallery is located inside Willamalane Adult Activity Center. We welcome local artists of various styles, mediums, and experiences to participate in our gallery exhibits.
Currently Showing: Ellen Gabehart's Class Showcase
In Ellen Gabehart's drawing, watercolor, and mixed media classes, students studied how to create a viable composition such as determining the positive and negative spaces, moods of color, and textures that enhance their artwork. They explore a variety of concepts: distance, close-ups, landscapes, flowers, natural elements, figures, and structures. The artists in this exhibit had a defined goal to express their own individual styles and find their own creative voices.
Exhibit dates: June 1-25

Coming Soon: Heidi Jacobson
H. Jacobson’s style and subject matter is eclectic. She uses both brush and palette knife, depending on the look and feel that she is trying to capture. She paints with primarily oil but also uses acrylics in her abstracts. She says, “I enjoy experimenting and trying new things. From portraits to animals, from florals to abstracts, I learn something new with every painting I create.”
Exhibit dates: July 1-25
Gallery reception: Friday, July 8, 5-7 p.m. Complimentary beer, wine, and light refreshments will be provided. Reception includes live music from pianist Steven Reiser.
