Youth Sports and Dance

Whether you are interested in an individual or team sport, these programs are focused on building skills and sportsmanship in a positive environment. Activities are available for preschoolers, grade schoolers, and middle schoolers, and are great for building athletic and social skills to last a lifetime.

Preschool-age 

My First Sports
Ages 4-6. Run, jump, dribble, toss, and bat alongside your little athlete! My First Sports creates a bonding experience like no other. Fall sports include Soccer, Basketball, and Indoor Track & Field. Parent participation is required in these introductions to athletics. Each participant receives a medal!

My First Dance 
Ages 4-6. Looking for a way to channel the energy of your little mover and groover? This program will teach the fundamentals of movement and rhythm through ballet, hip hop, and jazz.



Grades K-5 

Cheer

Kids can get started early with Minis Cheer and develop their spirit, skills, and sportsmanship throughout grade school and middle school.

Minis Cheer
Ages 5-7. Minis Cheer offers young kids a taste of the cheerleading world as they build basic skills. Participants will have opportunities to perform at local games during the season.

Youth Cheer
Ages 7-10. Youth Cheer builds on movement and balance skills to develop young cheerleaders. Youth Cheer will have opportunities to perform at local games during the season.


Skills Camps

Basketball Skills Camp
Grades 5-8. Join us for this skills-based weekend camp where we'll improve your student athlete's basketball fundamentals. Our basketball camp will train participants through essential drills on dribbling, passing, shooting, and game experience. Our Middle School Sports Coaches will help your young athlete build confidence, self-esteem, and more passion for the game.

Summer Break Skills Camp

Grades 1-5. This summer break, your kids can have fun while focusing on athletics and teamwork. At the same time, they’ll hone their skills in sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer, multi-sports, and racket sports. Check out all the summer break camps here.

Middle School 

Junior Cheer

Ages 11-14. Build a solid foundation of cheer skills in this introductory group. Junior Cheerleaders will have multiple opportunities to perform and will train with the goal of competing and performing at a local competition and/or athletic events.


Middle School Sports
Grades 6-8. Your middle schooler will develop athletic skills, teamwork, and mastery of sports in the convenience of their own school gym. Fall sports include Cross Country, Flag Football, Volleyball, and Basketball. These recreational leagues are a partnership with Springfield Public Schools and are open to all kids, regardless of skill level or ability. Scholarships are available.

RunJumpThrow 

Ages 6-13. This USA Track & Field program is a hands-on learning experience that introduces kids to the basics of running, jumping, and throwing skills. Kids will participate in a variety of activity stations including agility, relays, jumping, throwing, hurdle drills, and much more. Participants will receive tickets to the Prefontaine Classic!

One-on-One Coaching

Ages 5-18. Willamalane’s experienced coaches will provide one-on-one private lessons in basketball, soccer, and volleyball. These lessons are designed for any youth with any ability. Students will be learning fundamentals and strategy as well as great life skills. Pre-registration is required for all lessons.

  • One student: $35 in-district, $42 out-of-district an hour.
  • Two students: $45 in-district, $54 out-of-district an hour.
