Dorris Ranch (or your own home!)

This year’s MEGGA Hunt is MEGGA fun — with a side of safety! Get your egg hunt on with one of two MEGGA Hunt options.

Option 1: In-person Family Hunt
Reserve a section of the Dorris Ranch orchards for your family’s hunt. Your family will have 15 minutes to find about 100 eggs in your plot. Your visit will be complete with the MEGGA Hunt ambiance you know and love — music, craft kits, photo booth, balloon animals, and Hops the Bunny included. Modifications will be in place so your family will feel safe and comfortable along the way.

Option 2: Take-home MEGGA Hunt Backyard Egg Kit
Bring MEGGA madness to your home! Your MEGGA Backyard Kit comes with about 50 eggs for your family to hide at home, plus a craft and other surprises to keep you busy all weekend long. Reserve your Backyard Egg Kit by March 26, and pick it up between March 31–April 1 at Bob Keefer Center from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Purchases must be made in advance.

FAQs
What safety modifications are in place for the in-person event?
Each lot section will be cordoned off so your group will not interact with other groups. Physical distancing and mask-wearing rules will be enforced. Lots are limited to social gathering health and safety guidelines of 8 people or less.

Can I bring more than one vehicle in our group?
Each egg lot can accommodate a maximum of two vehicles. Parking is limited at Dorris Ranch.

Why has this event moved to Dorris Ranch?
Dorris Ranch is better suited to sectioning off family-specific hunt areas. Plus, we think its rustic charm will fit the vibe of the event.

Will this event be accessible to people experiencing disabilities?
Each egg lot will have accessible parking directly in front of the lot. The lot parking can accommodate a wheelchair lift. The lots have a very uneven dirt surface and will be muddy in sections. Please let us know ahead of time if you need specific accommodations to attend this event by filling out an accommodation request at willamalane.org/accessibility

Can I volunteer for this event?
Yes, register to volunteer at willamalane.org/volunteer.

What treats will come with the eggs?

All of our eggs will be filled with a combination of candy treats, small plastic toys, stickers, and temporary tattoos.

What do we do with the eggs after the in-person event?
There will be an egg recycling station where you can drop your eggs before you leave the event.

What if it rains during the in-person event?

This is a rain-or-shine event, so dress accordingly.

Will any of the treats in eggs have nuts?

Yes, there will be some individually packaged treats like Reese’s Pieces and Snickers. Please be aware in case someone in your family has nut allergies.

Can dogs come to the in-person event?

Yes, well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome to attend with their owners. Please clean up after your animal. Learn more about dog rules at willamalane.org/parkrules.
