Crafts & DIY Classes

Willamalane offers adult craft and DIY classes in Springfield.  Make fall wreaths, shadow boxes, or try your hand at a mixed media journal. All fall classes are held at Dorris Ranch, with plenty of space for distancing.

Wreath Making Series

Fresh Holiday Wreath: Ages 18+.  Spend the morning creating a fresh holiday wreath for your home from fresh cut foliage. All supplies provided.

Shadow Box Series

Happy Holiday Shadow Boxes: 
Ages 18+. Enjoy a relaxing Saturday morning exploring several simple mixed media techniques while creating an 8" x 11" framed shadow box filled with personally meaningful objects and words. Techniques include using alcohol inks and stamps, watercolor pigments, sprayed alcohol inks, stencils and gelato crayons, layering and color balancing. All materials are provided.

Other craft classes
Mixed Media Healing Journal
Ages 18+.  Join us for an opportunity to focus on healing thoughts and inspiration while creating a mixed media journal. This is a positive class providing instruction in one or two mixed media techniques to incorporate into the journals. Embellishments and words will be added to create a small journal that you can carry with you, keep at your bedside or even give as a gift. All materials will be provided; each student will make a journal to take home.

Craft FAQs
While our goal to provide a fun and engaging craft and DIY classes for Springfield hasn’t changed, we are implementing a lot of new measures to keep everyone as safe as possible. Here are some questions we expect you to have, but if you have more, please let us know at our Contact Us page or call us at 541-736-4544.

Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes. Participants and instructors in Willamalane programs must wear a face covering in all indoor classes and outdoors when six-foot distancing cannot be maintained.

What safety measures are in place?
Classes are running at limited capacities to allow for increased distancing. All equipment and materials will be sanitized before and after use.  Class supplies for participants will be pre-bagged for class and individual use.
