Little Kids Club
Kindergarten-age
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm
When they’re not in school, kindergartners enjoy fun, educational
activities at the Community Recreation Center. Then, when
it’s time for school, trained Willamalane drivers take care
of the transportation for you. Academic programming stimulates
young minds in the mornings, and afternoons are filled with
music, crafts, active play, field trips — and a rest period
for those who need it. Little Kids Club follows the Springfield
School District calendar for holidays and school closures.

Willamalane Kids Club is a before- and after-school program
for kids in Springfield elementary schools within Willamalane
boundaries. Programs are also available on most no-school days
and during vacation breaks. Each school site program needs
to meet a minimum number of participants for each program;
some school sites are combined with adjacent school sites,
with transportation provided between schools.
FEES
Families can register for morning care, afternoon care and/or no-school-day care. You choose whether you need care one day a week or up to five days a week each month. Your monthly fee will vary depending on the number of days of care available each month. Days of care fluctuate monthly with the school calendar and holidays.

Parents’ Shopping Day Out
For ages 3-10. Go holiday shopping and drop the kids off to have their own fun! Children will enjoy a day at the Community Recreation Center creating holiday crafts, playing games and snacking on treats while you go shopping, have lunch or meet friends. Register by Nov. 21 for discount; drop-in care is available. Please bring a lunch for your child.

Dance and Movement
Discover the world of dance with EnergyMotions, a new, year-round dance and movement program. This is a continuous full-year program with an optional annual performance in June. Visit energymotions.org for more information about the program and professional instructor Dawn Lonowski. Winter sessions begin 1/5 and 1/7. Spring sessions begin 3/30 and 4/1. Registration is ongoing. Participants can join the program at any time and pay a prorated fee. Participants will be charged an annual registration fee of $15. Ages 5-6 In a fun yet supportive environment, young children learn the basics of ballet and tap while experiencing how these dance styles support coordination, structure, rhythm and poise both in body and life.

Ballet/Jazz
Ages 7-8 Children learn basic techniques of ballet and jazz while gaining confidence, strength, flexibility and endurance. Children also learn to develop musicality and the ability to move through space in various floor patterns.

Modern Jazz/Hip Hop
With a mix of jazz and hip hop this class involves a style of theatrical dancing that is not as restricted as classical ballet and includes a unique blend of energy, expressiveness, individual interpretation and physical conditioning. Modern jazz also encourages the student to gain kinetic and intellectual knowledge of their bodies in a technical dance environment that involves the integration of various rhythmic concepts, dynamic expression and spatial awareness leading to spatial clarity. Teen-Adult Dance Workout
Ages Teen-Adult A fun and creative dance workout! Tiny Tigers
Ages 3-6 The Tiny Tiger Taekwondo program is developed specifically for preschool-age children. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect and discipline. The program is designed to improve motor skills and enhance the ability to pay attention and follow directions. Fees include membership to the American Taekwondo Association and uniform.

Karate Kids
Ages 7-13 This traditional Taekwondo program is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. Each month includes themes such as confidence, self-esteem, and friendship. Family Kayaking Introductory Class
For parents with children age 8 and older. All equipment will be provided.
For parents with children age 8+. Experience the thrill of paddling a kayak or canoe in safe, warm waters. Learn safety tips and basic paddling from an Oregon River Sports professional. Tennis
The Willamalane Tennis Program is open to players of all experience levels, from the novice to the advanced. Instruction includes fundamentals, drills, rules, positioning, strategy and singles/doubles games. Click here to learn more.

Day Activities
Open 7 am-6pm. Children must be signed in by 9am and may be signed out after 4:30pm. Activities may include sports, board games, crafts, special guests, field trips and swim trips to Splash! Program
Springfield Public Schools and Willamalane work together to provide after-school activities through two federal grants. The program provides academic assistance and recreational and cultural enrichment.
Academic Assistance Students receive academic assistance and literacy help each day.
Recreational and Enrichment Programs students participate in daily physical activity and fun classes.
