Event Sponsorship

Springfield SummerFest – This three-day citywide celebration happens the third weekend in July and typically draws 12,000 to 14,000 people from throughout the region. Highlights include outdoor concerts, a national headliner, PetFest and a family festival featuring live entertainment and hands-on activities for kids. In addition, there are running, walking, swimming and softball events throughout the weekend. Numerous sponsorship opportunities are available.

 

MEGGA Hunt – Started in 1960, Lane County's largest egg hunt goes beyond the ordinary with more than 20,000 prize eggs, live entertainment, carnival games, crafts and more. This family event attracts 6,000 to 7,000 people each year.

 

Movies in the Park – A favorite family film, a warm summer night and popcorn all add up to a magical evening to share with friends and family. The summer series, held at various parks, commonly draws approximately 400 to 500 people per showing.

Dorris Ranch School Tours – Outings to Dorris Ranch where students learn about prehistoric Oregon, Indian ways, pioneer life and more. Your sponsorship will reach 3,500 students and their families annually.

 

Haunted Hayride – Every October more than 1,300 visitors take a hayride through the "haunted" trails of Dorris Ranch, where ghosts, goblins and scarecrows emerge from the shadows of the historic filbert orchards. Expanded to three nights for 2010!

Fourth Grade Swim Lessons – Good business sense meets good deeds in this important water safety campaign. Willamalane offers two weeks of free water safety and swimming instruction for every fourth grade student in Springfield Public Schools. About 1,000 students participate each year.

 

Summer Playground Program – When school is out, Willamalane steps in to provide supervised activities in Willamalane parks throughout Springfield. More than 1,000 children participate each summer. This program needs your support to continue.

Concerts in the Park – Entertainment ranges from local favorites to regional draws across a wide spectrum of genres. The summer series, held at various parks, draws about 500-700 people per concert. Sponsor an individual concert or the whole season.

 

Middle School Sports – Sponsor a team or league and get your name out on the field and in front of active families. Willamalane's middle school sports program reaches more than 1,000 students each year. You can also help fund scholarships for athletes.

 

Vineyards & Violins – This well-attended auction serves as the main fundraising vehicle for the Adult Activity Center, which provides programs and needed services to older adults. Get your name in front of the center's most active supporters.

They include the Chocolate Buffet, Daddy-Daughter Valentine Social, Dorris Ranch Stone Age Day, Island Park Art Gallery receptions and shows, summer barbecues, Waveseekers water fitness promotion, Wildish Community Theater productions and more. Willamalane Recreation Guide – Published three times a year, this flagship of Willamalane publications is mailed to approximately 30,000 Springfield households and businesses. In addition, more than 4,000 copies are delivered to libraries, schools and area agencies. Patrons repeatedly refer to this 56-page booklet throughout its term.

 

Sign Program – Advertise your business on a sign at one of our swimming pools. At Splash! at Lively Park and Willamalane Park Swim Center, advertize your business on a 4x6-foot poolside or lobby sign.

 

Active & On the Go newsletter/calendar/insert –1,500 copies of this monthly newsletter for adults 50+ are distributed to area agencies, including the Adult Activity Center, and mailed to a number of paying subscribers.

 

Travel News newsletter – This publication focuses on trips and tours for adults 50+. 1,000 issues are printed three times a year, reaching 800 active travelers a year.

 

willamalane.org – Willamalane does not sell space on its Web site. The only way to have an online presence is to take advantage of one of our premier sponsorship opportunities. In a typical month the Web site gets 7,772 visitors and more than 22,419 page views. In a typical year, the Web site gets 94,742 visitors and more than 273,305 page views.

 

 

 

 

Donations

Friends of Willamalane – The Friends group works separately but in partnership with Willamalane. It is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Friends raise funds, help develop resources and partnerships, and advocate for parks and recreation. Visit friendsofwillamalane.org.

 

Commemorative Gifts – Donate a tree, park bench or playground structure to a Willamalane park. A commemorative gift is a unique way to celebrate special events and family landmarks. It's also a touching way to express sympathy. You can honor the passing of a loved one with a memorial, while making a lasting contribution to the local environment.

 

Scholarship Program – While Willamalane fees are low, there are many who cannot afford to pay for programs without your support. You will receive recognition for each scholarship opportunity you provide.
