About the Facility

This 97,000-square-foot center is one of the largest sports and recreation facilities in the Northwest. The center features three hardwood basketball courts and several sport courts used for basketball, volleyball, tennis, roller derby, special events and more. The facility has a new Fitness Center, indoor tennis courts, climbing walls and a new youth center called Two50 featuring a row of 3D HDTVs and gaming consoles.

 

In addition, Willamalane Center offers meeting rooms and three preschool rooms with attached playground. The center can accommodate tournaments, parties, club meetings, dances, workshops, classroom instruction, business meetings and multimedia presentations.

 

The center also offers themed birthday celebrations! Rent a room and playground or let us provide the complete package for birthday parties.

 

The center is adjacent to two artificial turf sports fields. A preschool playground is attached, and a playground for all ages lies just west of the fields.

Athletics

Willamalane Center features six regulation-size basketball courts, three with hardwood floors and three with multi-purpose floors. In addition, it has a fitness center, climbing wall and locker rooms. The center is adjacent to two artificial turf sports fields.

Lively Park Shelters

Group picnic areas make this Thurston-area park the region’s destination for outdoor events. Consider Lively Park Shelters for reunions, weddings, birthday parties and more. Each shelter will accommodate 150 people, and rentals can include amenities such as electric cooktops, food prep areas and natural gas barbecues. One party can also rent both shelters. A large playground is adjacent to the shelters.

Island Park, one of the most beautiful parks in the district, borders the Willamette River. Towering trees and grassy hillocks present a lush and inviting. The park features picnic tables, restrooms, drinking fountains, electricity and a playground. The North and South Shelters are available for reservations. Island Park is wheelchair-accessible.

Patrons who would like to use a park for a family picnic, team potluck, or reunion may reserve Island Park. Reservations are accepted year-round. Willamalane's other parks may be used on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 541-736-4104 for a park rental permit.

A great location makes for a great event! Convenient yet secluded facilities and picnic areas. Ideal for weddings, reunions, retreats, conferences, and more. Tables and chairs may be included with facility rental. Additional equipment and services, such as canopies and parking attendants, can be provided for an extra charge. Tomseth House

The quaint setting makes the Tomseth House the ideal place to hold events from weddings to business meetings. The main rooms can accommodate up to 40 people in the lovely atmosphere of this renovated turn-of-the-century home. The Tomseth House is equipped with accessories to make any event a success. A kitchen with oven, microwave, four-burner range, freezer and refrigerator make it easy to handle food preparation. The exterior is as inviting as the interior, with the front porch overlooking 250 acres of filbert orchards and a nature preserve. You won’t believe that you're only two miles from the center of Springfield!

Dorris Ranch Barn

Surrounded by open pastures and filbert orchard groves, the Dorris Ranch Barn is part of a historic farm right inside the city! The renovated 1892 barn retains all the charm of its historic origins while providing modern conveniences such as electrical outlets, water, benches and tables.

Oregon’s premiere indoor water park is a popular spot for birthday parties, school groups, family reunions and private rentals. A facility rental can include the wave pool, water slide family play area, kiddie pool, spa, lap pool, community room and concessions. During play swims, reserve a space in the community room, sundeck or on the pool deck for your party.

 

Private room, concessions and outdoor areas are available. The Community Room is a great fit for parties, meetings, and more. The maximum room capacity is 25 people. Key features include dry erase board, electricity, sink, counters, tables, and chairs.

Let Willamalane Park Swim Center design your rental to suit your needs. Each pool can be rented separately, or you can reserve the entire facility. The large community room can accommodate 40 people, or it can be divided into two rooms that accommodate 20 people on each side. Ideal for school groups, competitive teams, kayakers and SCUBA groups. During our play swims, families can reserve a space in the community room or on the pool deck for a birthday party or get-together.

 

Reservable Deck Areas There are two assigned pool-side areas available for your gathering with a capacity of 20 people.

Dive Tank The Dive Tank at Willamalane Park Swim Center has both a 1-meter and 3-meter diving board. The Dive Tank serves as the areas premier deep water exercise pool with an easy access staircase. This pool is 13 feet deep at the deepest point and maintains a temperature around 83 degrees.

Lap Pool Willamalane Park Swim Center boasts the regions most popular competitive 8-lane lap pool. This 25-yard lap pool maintains a temperature around 83 degrees, a perfect temperature for many exercise enthusiasts. Lanes are available to be rented by the hour for your group or organization.

 

Community Rooms There are three multi-purpose rooms with capacities of 20-40 people. Key features include sink, concrete floor, tables, chairs, adjoining outdoor (enclosed) seating areas, and park views.

Sun Deck This is an enclosed area with access to Willamalane Park Swim Center. This space is also open to the public for sunbathing. Most of the area is uncovered. The capacity for this area is 20.

Warm Pool The Warm Water Pool maintains a temperature around 88 degrees. This pool has an easy access, wheelchair accessible ramp for patrons. The Warm Water Pool has a water slide feature that is operational during Play Swims and special rentals. This is the feature pool for shallow water fitness classes, swim lessons, and private rentals.

 

Perfect for your special event

The Willamalane Adult Activity Center is a beautiful 22,000-square-foot facility featuring a comfortable lounge and outdoor patio overlooking the Willamette River and Island Park.

 

The Center's lovely setting, spacious interior, stage, dance floor, commercial kitchen, and meeting spaces are ideal for weddings, anniversary receptions, meetings, family gatherings, or other special events. Rooms can accommodate groups as small as 10 or as large as 200.

 

Ample parking available. All rentals include tables and chairs. Alcohol is permitted with prior written approval. Special rates available for full building rentals.

 

McKenzie Room

The McKenzie Room is a large multi-purpose room suitable for large gatherings and special events. Key features include wood floor, coffee maker, stage, stage lighting, PA system, tables, chairs, and adjoining full service kitchen and serving area (optional additional rental). This room connects to the Cascade Room.
