Newport. It's the 35th year of this Northwest seafood and wine festival. Artists and craftsmen showcase a variety of fine art, sculpture, photography, pottery and jewelry. Pacific Northwest wineries will be pouring the finest of wines, and culinary professionals will serve delectable delights. Price includes admission fee and wine glass. Food items range from $1-$10. Duck Athletic Facilities Tour

Eugene. Back by popular demand! Come for a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Matthew Knight Arena. We'll explore the main floor and arena area, as well as visit the club level, discover rare and unique art, and see the locker and weight rooms. Wildlife Images and Wolf Creek Inn

Merlin. Wildlife Images is a clinic, animal sanctuary, and education center housing and rehabilitating bears, wolves, bald eagles and many more. We will enjoy a guided tour of the 24-acre facility and have plenty of photo opportunities. We will then head to the Historic Wolf Creek Inn for lunch at Oregon's oldest continuous use hotel. Cost includes entrance fees and lunch.

Whale Watching & Old Town Florence

Florence. Bring your binoculars and warm sweaters; we'll bring the warm drinks and snacks! About 18,000 whales pass by our coast during March, April, May and June on their way to Alaska's Bering Sea. We will stop at the Sea Lion Caves overlook where trained volunteers will assist us in our search for the giant mammals. Then it's back to Old Town Florence for lunch and meandering before returning home.

Birding at Malheur

Last year our group identified 90 species of birds on this trip; this year we'll try for 100! Visit Malheur, one of the nation's premiere birding areas, with retired Lane Community College Professor Floyd Weitzel. Birding stops include the cliffs and shoreline at Tumalo State Park, Burns, and French Glen in addition to the refuge. Lodgings are two nights at the Malheur Field Station, located adjacent to the refuge. Meals include two breakfasts and dinners, and lunch fixings for your day in the field. Whether you’re traveling to the Oregon coast or the East Coast, we plan all the details. All you have to do is sign up and enjoy the trip. To make sure you have a pleasant day traveling with us, experienced center representatives escort most excursions to ensure your needs are met.

 

The Basics

• Register for all trips in person at the center, online or by phone (with Visa or MasterCard).
• Most trips depart from/return to the center.
• Most meals are an added cost.
• Payment must be made at time of registration.
• A center representative will escort most bus trips.
• If you must cancel, please contact us at least three business days prior to the trip. We will be happy to give you a credit. Late cancellations can only be credited if we can fill your spot from a waiting list. A few trips have a one-month credit policy.
• Give your trip ideas to Trish or Kerry.
• On the day of your trip, please park your car on
C Street or Water Street.
• Schedules are approximate and subject to change.
• If you own a cell phone, please bring it on each trip and give your number to the escort.
• Please do not wear fragrances on trips.
