Ages 12+. Wushu is a Chinese martial art form that encompasses everything Kung Fu. Examples of Wushu can be found in movies such as "The Matrix," "Kung Fu Panda," and the recent "Karate Kid." Wushu is designed to teach body control, not necessarily how to fight. Emphasis is on keeping your mind clear, body strong, movements fast and flexibility high. Class will cover basic stances, punches and kicks, some fighting applications, the 12 animal forms, and traditional forms. Instructor: Tom Diamond.
