Photography Policy

Photo Policy 

Willamalane Park and Recreation District reserves the right to photograph classes, community events, programs, and community members at any Willamalane facilities, properties, and any activities or events sponsored or hosted by Willamalane. Photos may be used by Willamalane in promotional materials, publications, or media communications in any format without any obligation to compensate those photographed. 

At events, designated event photographers will wear clothing identifying themselves as photographers. Community members may approach the photographer, ask questions about the photo policy, or request that their photo not be taken or used. 

For participants in childcare or other youth programs, it is standard practice to collect photo release forms and/or to alert families before photoshoots or documentation of personally identifiable photos. 

For zoomed-in, personally identifiable photos of community members, it will be standard practice to ask for verbal consent to use that photo for marketing or promotional purposes. If the community member declines, the photographer will delete or flag the photo so it will not be used for promotional purposes.
