Learning, Recreation, and Services for People Age 50 and Better

 

Have the time of your life! The Center is a busy place, offering a wide variety of programs to meet your needs as an active, senior adult aged 50 or better. Our comprehensive programs include everything from our high-tech Computer Lab to our social walking groups. There's something for everyone at the Center.

The Willamalane Adult Activity Center is a beautiful 22,000-square-foot facility featuring a comfortable lounge and outdoor patio overlooking the Willamette River and Island Park. The Center's lovely setting and spacious interior are ideal for weddings, anniversary receptions, meetings, family gatherings, or other special events. Rooms can accommodate groups as small as 10 or as large as 200. Call us at 736-4444 to help you schedule your next special event.

Our ceramics, pottery, lapidary and wood shops are equipped with all the equipment you'll need to create your masterpiece. You can also take classes in woodcarving, quilting, painting, and much, much more. The Island Park Art Gallery showcases a variety of work by local artists. Receptions are held as displays change (approximately every 2 to 4 months).

The Computer Learning Center was designed with small class size in mind. There are eight learning stations equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and software. Whether you're a novice that wants to learn how to use a mouse or a more advanced user that wants to learn how to use a spreadsheet, we've got what you need.

Active living, through physical recreation and leisure activities, contributes to a full and meaningful life. Join us for a variety of classes that range from basic exercise to pilates, yoga, and tai chi. There are also casual walking groups you can join.

Music and dance are healthy, joyful forms of communication that are available at the Center. Join our singing group, sit in on the Fiddler's Jam, or join the dance club.

With over 100 programs each term, the Center gets more than 250 visits each day. Check out all the ways we can help you get your message to your customers.

 

Gift Shop

A gift package.The Center Gift Shop is open to the public Monday-Friday, 10a-3p. Consigners aged 50 and better may display wares.

 

Island Park Cafe

Island Park Cafe Have lunch at the Center! The cafe is open to all ages: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11:30a-1p.
