The building is also open most evenings and weekends. The Center may be closed on certain days for event preparation or holiday observations.

 

The Adult Activity Center is located at 215 West C Street, Springfield, Oregon. Take Pioneer Parkway to C Street and turn west. The Center is at the end of West C Street.

Learning, Recreation, and Services for People Age 50 and Better

 

Have the time of your life! The Center is a busy place, offering a wide variety of programs to meet your needs as an active, senior adult aged 50 or better. Our comprehensive programs include everything from our high-tech Computer Lab to our social walking groups. There's something for everyone at the Center.

Facility Amenities & Rentals

The Willamalane Adult Activity Center is a beautiful 22,000-square-foot facility featuring a comfortable lounge and outdoor patio overlooking the Willamette River and Island Park. The Center's lovely setting and spacious interior are ideal for weddings, anniversary receptions, meetings, family gatherings, or other special events. Rooms can accommodate groups as small as 10 or as large as 200. Call us at 736-4444 to help you schedule your next special event.

 

The lounge.A comfortable lounge is a welcoming gathering spot.

 

The outdoor patio overlooks the Willamette River and Island Park.

 

The Computer Learning Center with Windows workstations, large teaching display, printers, scanners, and high-speed Internet access.

 

The Island Park Art Gallery showcases a variety of work by local artists. Receptions are held as displays change (approximately every 2 to 4 months).

 

Gift shop items for sale.The Center Gift Shop is open to the public Monday-Friday, 10a-3p. Consigners aged 50 and better may display wares.

 

The McKenzie Room has a wooden dance floor and stage.

Meeting rooms and classrooms that are also available for rent.

 

The Pool Room is a popular gathering spot.

 

Cooking pancakes.Our commercial kitchen is fully-equipped. A great resource if you're planning on holding a special event.

 

The Wood Shop is equipped with saws, planer, jointer, and hand tools. Instructors are also available.

 

The Pottery/Ceramics Shop is equipped with potter's wheels, slab roller, kilns, and instructors to assist people at all skill levels.

 

The Lapidary Shop has slab and trim saws, grinders, sanders, and polishers for rock hounds and other enthusiasts.

 

Island Park Cafe Have lunch at the Center! The cafe is open to all ages: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11:30a-1p.

The cover of Active & On the GoActive & On The Go is a 16-page monthly newsletter that includes articles about the Center and information about all of its programs. Also included is a monthly calendar of activities. The first 3 months of your subscription is FREE. Continuing subscription price is only $5/year (12 issues).

 

The Travel News is a four-page newsletter that is published quarterly. It will keep you up to date on all the travel opportunities available through the Center. You can receive a subscription at no charge, just by requesting it (4 issues per year).
